The Harley E. French Library of the Health Sciences at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences is located in the Karl Christian Wold Bio-information Learning Resources Center. The Library maintains a diverse collection of print and electronic resources. It functions as North Dakota's primary medical resource library and participates in the state-wide Online Dakota Information Network, ODIN. Statewide hospital library holdings are available through ODIN in a subset called MED. The Library of the Health Sciences also coordinates services through four Clinical Campus sites with librarians available to offer help in Fargo, Bismark, Minot, and Grand Forks. The Library serves as a resource library for the Greater Midwest Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. Mission Statement
The primary responsibility of the Harley E. French Library of the Health Sciences is to provide access to health sciences information for faculty, students, and staff of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the College of Nursing. The Library supports the programs of the University of North Dakota on the Grand Forks Campus, at the clinical campuses in Bismarck, Fargo, and Minot, and at all community clinical sites. The Library coordinates a statewide health science library system and, as resources permit, assists in providing for the biomedical information needs of the health care community and the general public.
