A valid library card is needed in order to borrow items. UND faculty, staff, and students should use their Campus Passport ID card. UND alumni and emeritus professors are issued library cards at no charge. Health professionals may also obtain a card at no charge upon the presentation of proper identification. Faculty from other universities may check out items upon presentation of two pieces of identification. If their library cards are not compatible with ODIN, temporary cards will be issued free of charge.
Anyone not affiliated with the university can obtain a card upon the presentation of two forms of identification and a $15.00 fee. In lieu of purchasing a card, they may request materials through interlibrary loan from their local libraries or the State Library in Bismarck. See Unaffiliated Borrower Policy for more details.
