Science Direct Access Expanded

The Library of the Health Sciences is pleased to announce that our access to Science Direct titles has expanded from 763 titles to 1,929. This is a campus-wide initiative, so not all of the additions are strictly health sciences. In many cases holdings extend from 1995 to the current, but in cases where the journal was previously published by another publisher, or started publication originated recently, the start dates will be later. In the case of Neuroscience titles, such as Brain Research, the holdings extend to volume one thanks to the financial assistance of the COBRE Neuroscience grant. Remember for most complete access to Science Direct and all resources, always login through the library's website. RSS Feed Aggregator

The library's web site now provides an RSS Feed Aggregator for authenticated users. This new feature provides a place to aggregate all your RSS Feeds (such as those exported from PubMed searches, found on news sources, etc). To use the feature, put the URL of the feed (found by copying the link location/shortcut on an RSS or XML image like

) into the "Feed URL" field in the "RSS Feeds" section on the main page of the library web site and click the "Add Feed" button (you must be logged in for this section to be available).

RSS Feeds for PubMed search results can be generated by choosing "RSS Feed" under the "Send to" drop-down list and following the instructions.

The Harley E. French Library of the Health Sciences' new web site is now
available! Major enhancements include:

Improved User Interface - easier navigation, new layout and design
Enhanced Remote Access Capability - easier to find login and explanation of login failures
E-resources Search Capability - search for electronic journals or books, subjects, or collections
Subject Browsing - limit titles in the e-resources list to a specific subject area
Print version - all web pages can be optimized for printing by selecting "View Print Version"
RSS Feed - keep current on library news, events, and upcoming training opportunities
