Sex offender moves to Detroit Lakes

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – A Level 3 sex offender moved here Tuesday, the first one for the city since the state Legislature passed a law 10 years ago allowing authorities to notify the general public about an offender moving to town.

Dilworth corrals new thrift store

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is building a new thrift store in Dilworth. “Basically, we’re moving the current Moorhead location down the road a little bit to Dilworth,” said Diane Rust, Fargo, retail sales director for Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch stores.

Opening with a bang

It was a night when shots and records fell. Making 20 of its first 24 shots, North Dakota State’s men’s basketball team jumped out to a 44-6 lead en route to a season-opening 128-64 win over Mayville State on Tuesday night before 2,257 fans at the Bison Sports Arena.
